Software Product Business Development

Business Case and Return on Investment (ROI) Model Development for JAMF Software (www.jamfsoftware.com):

Interviewed their executive management team to assess all benefits for their Macintosh workstation administration suite of products. Developed a framework of business case talking points and created the related ROI calculator spreadsheet to improve sales conversions. Guided their sales staff on the use of the models developed. Work was developed by the company into marketing collateral in 2009. (Nov - Dec 2008)

Retail e-Commerce Systems

UK e-Commerce web site launch, marketing, and operations (www.shopnatgeo.co.uk) for the National Geographic Society (www.nationalgeographic.com):

Fast-track project for the catalog/retail division to launch a UK-based e-Commerce site and related operations in time for the holiday season. Provided project management, business requirements analysis, and acceptance testing services. Worked with VP, Operations to identify and evaluate medium-scale e-Commerce solutions and related costs. Implemented the Volusion e-Commerce platform with payment gateway integration from selection through launch. Coordinated setup of call center and warehouse operations interfaces. (Aug - Nov 2008)

Assessed current state of the UK business, researched and interviewed UK-based marketing agencies, investigated alternative local distribution/warehouse operations vendors, and managed online store operations. Presented recommendations regarding merchandise mix, store functionality, additional e-mail and link marketing ideas, and developed a 3-month P&L statement showing various cost models to evaluate business options going forward. (Mar - Apr 2009)

Digital Asset Management Systems

Defined cross-divisional requirements from asset acquisition through archiving, evaluated software vendors, developed business cases, implemented, and evolved the use of various corporate digital asset management systems. First-hand experience with Extensis Portfolio, IBM NICA, and Software Construction Company’s MediaServer systems.

Publishing Systems Transitions

Moved from Quark Publishing System (QPS) with Quark XPress and CopyDesk to the Softcare K4 publishing system using Adobe InDesign and InCopy. Wrote the business case for funding and planned the initial transition projects followed by subsequent upgrades, leading all executions to successful completion.
